How to Set Up Your HP Printer on Windows 11
Windows 11 makes it easy to add an HP printer — here's exactly how to do it.
HP printer setup on Windows 11 via USB:
Connect the USB cable from your HP printer to your Windows 11 computer
Turn the printer on
Windows 11 automatically detects and installs the printer
Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners to confirm
HP printer setup on Windows 11 via WiFi:
Connect your HP printer to your WiFi network first (use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer)
On your Windows 11 PC: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners → Add device
Windows 11 searches your network for the printer
Select your HP printer and click Add device

If Windows 11 can't find your HP printer:
Make sure your PC and printer are on the same WiFi network
Restart the printer and router
Go to Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners → Add device → Add manually

Finding your HP printer's IP address:
On the printer's control panel: Settings → Wireless → Wireless Network Test — the IP address is printed on the test report.
