How to Print Double-Sided on Your HP Printer
Printing double-sided (duplex printing) saves paper and gives your documents a professional look. Here's how to set it up on your HP printer.
Automatic two-sided printing (if your HP printer has a duplexer):
Open the document you want to print
Click File → Print
Click Printer Properties or Preferences
Look for Two-Sided Printing or Duplex Printing
Select Flip on Long Edge (for portrait documents) or Flip on Short Edge (for landscape)
Click OK and Print
Manual two-sided printing (if your HP printer doesn't have a duplexer):
Print odd pages first — in Printer Properties, select Odd Pages Only
Take the printed pages out of the output tray
Flip the stack and reload into the input tray
Print even pages — select Even Pages Only
How to check if your HP printer supports automatic duplex:
Check your printer model on support.hp.com
Look for "Automatic Two-Sided Printing" or "Auto Duplex" in the specifications
Setting double-sided as default:
Go to Devices and Printers → right-click your HP printer → Printing Preferences
Set Two-Sided Printing as default → click OK
