Dried ink in the printhead
How to fix HP printer not printing black ink:
Check ink levels — Open HP software on your computer → check black ink level. Replace if empty or low.
Clean the printhead: Go to HP Printer Assistant software → Printer Maintenance → Clean Printhead. Run the cleaning cycle 2–3 times. Print a test page after each cycle.
Print a diagnostic page: On your printer: Settings → Reports → Print Quality Report. This shows which nozzles are clogged.
Check print settings: When printing, make sure "Print in Grayscale" or "Black & White" is not accidentally selected. Set print mode to "Normal" or "Best".
