How to Download and Install HP Printer Drivers

The right HP printer driver keeps your printer running smoothly. Here's how to download and install it correctly.

Steps to download HP printer drivers:

  1. Go to support.hp.com

  2. Enter your HP printer model number (e.g. HP DeskJet 2755, HP OfficeJet Pro 9015)

  3. Select your operating system — Windows 10, Windows 11, or macOS

  4. Click Download and run the installer file

  5. Follow the on-screen instructions and restart your computer when prompted

If the driver fails to install:

  • Uninstall the existing HP driver first via Control Panel → Programs → Uninstall a Program

  • Restart your computer before reinstalling

  • Temporarily disable antivirus software during installation

  • Run the installer as Administrator (right-click → Run as administrator)
