HP OfficeJet Printer Support — Common Issues and Fixes
HP OfficeJet printers are all-in-one workhorses. Here's how to fix the most common problems.
Common HP OfficeJet issues:
OfficeJet won't print or is offline
Scanner not working on OfficeJet
Fax setup or sending issues
WiFi dropping on OfficeJet
Ink cartridge errors
Printer offline:
Restart the OfficeJet and your router
Go to Devices and Printers on your PC → right-click OfficeJet → click "Use Printer Online"
Scanner not working:
Open HP Smart or HP Scan software
If the scanner isn't detected, reinstall the full HP software suite from support.hp.com
For USB connected OfficeJet, try a different USB cable or port
WiFi dropping:
Move the OfficeJet closer to your router
Run the Wireless Network Test from the printer menu
Assign a static IP address to prevent the printer from dropping off the network
Fax not working:
Check the phone line connection at the back of the OfficeJet
Run a Fax Test from the printer's setup menu
Make sure the fax number is correct — include area code
